Practical website work

Use Search Console with Visibility Lab

Search Console helps distinguish a topic idea from a query that actually appeared for your website.

Connect the matching property

Use the Google account that has access to the intended site. VL's setup matches covering properties where it can do so safely. An ambiguous or wrong-site match must stay unresolved rather than silently attach another business's reports. Search access is read-only; WordPress delivery uses separate permissions.

Understand what the data means

A query row describes observed search activity for the selected property and period. It is not a universal search-volume estimate. Low-traffic sites may have little or no query data, and some queries are not individually shown. Missing rows should not be relabelled as zero demand or evidence that the business has no audience.

Turn evidence into a decision

Start with a relevant query and its landing page. Check whether that page answers the customer's question and offers a clear next step. Improve an existing answer when that is enough. VL's query-answer inbox is being validated as an operator pilot; three real own-site drafts remain an acceptance requirement before broader use.
